ReMaTec, the international trade fair for remanufacturing, took place June 19 to 21 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  ReMaTec agrees that this years trade show was a success due to the positive feedback from the exhibitors as well as the visitors. The show was visited by 2726 professionals from 22 different countries.

For ATech, the show was a great opportunity to get in touch with the remanufacturing market. Already ATech_Booth_ReMaTec2009_300having a network of sales partners - IKA GmbH, Schaeffler Group (Germany) and WAI Europe b.v. (The Netherlands), the goal was not to find new sales partners but to inform the public about the different alternator pulley technologies available on the market.  It is important to note that Litens' Overrunning Alternator Decoupler technology greatly differs from a standard Overrunning Alternator Pulley. "It is important, that the market always replace the alternator pulley with one that is of OE quality and OE function."  Mr. Gabel, Managing Director of ATech says. "We need  to educate the market in the way that people see the negative impact of an alternator pulley's different technology to the whole Accessory Drive", he added.  Litens Automotive is the OE supplier of automatic belt tensioners and overrunning alternator decouplers. ATech is the exclusive distributor of Litens parts to the Independent Aftermarket.  ATech continues to see returned worn out tensioners from the field because of the end user using an inferior alternator pulley technology or not changing a worn out alternator pulley. These returned tensioners show signs of excessive wear, broken components and generally premature failure.  Atech and Litens strongly recommends to always replace the Poly-V-Belt, the belt tensioner and the alternator pulley at the same time.

The ReMaTec show gave the exhibitor the possibility to see which direction the market is going, to understand the customer's needs and to provide solutions to their problems.  The market undoubtedly is demanding quality remanufactured products. ATech and Litens Automotive are currently investigating whether or not a quality rebuilt Litens OAD would be a viable product for the remanufacturing industry.

The Next ReMaTec show will take place in June 2013, also in Amsterdam.  ATech had a wonderfull experience at this years show and is currently looking forward to being at the ReMaTec show in 2013.
